PepsiCo asked Leading Resolutions to design and implement a digital strategy for the architecture, design and implementation of an internally hosted ERP system.
PepsiCo is an American multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation headquartered in Harrison, New York. It employs over 223,000 people and implements a follow the sun methodology with offices in all major time zones.
The Challenge
PepsiCo Europe asked Leading Resolutions to design and implement a strategy for the architecture, design and implementation of an internally hosted ERP system. An improved IT and communications infrastructure would support further growth in manufacturing and changes to the distribution process.
The Solution
Leading Resolutions’ strategy for the ERP system incorporated a secure web-enabled business layer front-end, which was accessible over an integrated corporate-wide telecommunications infrastructure.
This was achieved through the design and implementation of a centralised European data centre, outsourced telecommunications infrastructure and newly implemented service delivery and management processes.
The Results
Leading Resolutions enabled the seamless introduction of new technologies directly into the day to day standards. PepsiCo achieved a single view of demand planning, purchasing and stock management. The deployment drove reduced operating costs and staffing levels, increased accuracy of order fulfilment and improved customer service levels.
Leading Resolutions turned what was a complex challenge into a simple, easy to understand strategy that led to a flawless implementation – a testament to their experience and detailed understanding of our business.
