Leading Resolutions is a rapid growth, fast paced digital transformation consultancy serving blue chip, UK FTSE 250 clients. Following a recent MBO the executive team is looking to hire a Head of Finance to support them in their continued growth journey. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role will help to shape and monitor the commercial delivery plan.
You will be commercially astute, passionate, energetic and driven. You won’t be afraid to challenge, in a constructive manner, to help drive ROI on business initiatives. Most importantly, you will be hungry to learn, have a sharp business acumen and be seeking to develop your role and grow with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Executive Board to upweight internal KPI reporting and to develop the MI around the key strategic initiatives, developing KPI trends
- Develop financial forecasting capability ensuring the company is on track to achieve financial objectives and making recommendations where action is required
- Supporting the front line team with proposals, project pricing and profitability management
- Develop board reporting including timely and accurate production of the management accounts reports each month
- Key balance sheet reconciliations
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and making strategic decisions based on that analysis
- Work with the projects team to protect cashflow, review profitability and cost variances for feeding back into the Sales team to improve future project costing
- Managing a small finance team
- Work with the wider team to continuously improve financial controls
- Support the selection and implementation of an ERP system to improve efficiency and control around project delivery
- Manage external relationships with bank, external accountants and insurers
- Process intercompany transactions between the trading entity and Group
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified accountant, CIMA preferred
- Private Equity/Venture Capital experience preferred
- Articulate, good engagement style
