Migrating Business Processing

Assignment

When leading homebuilder and civil engineer Osborne sought to implement new technology platforms at the front end of its business to enable future growth, it turned to Leading Resolutions to help in migration of the majority of its business processing to an external supplier.

Approach

External technology service provision was the most expedient route to achieving a flexible and scalable source of IT provision. Leading Resolutions helped Osborne create and manage a competitive tendering process bringing potential partners to the project. Leading Resolutions then helped Osborne manage the seamless transition of its key business processing systems, including its ERP capability, from internal to external sourcing.

Results

By identifying and mitigating key internal constraints, Leading Resolutions enabled Osborne to rapidly adopt new externally sourced technology platforms while avoiding the significant capital costs normally associated with in-house provision. In-house personnel costs were also reduced without the need to maintain legacy systems.

We share a set of values with Leading Resolutions, including a sense of honesty, openness and integrity. We wanted to work with like-minded people – and that’s exactly what was delivered. It’s quite a step to employ a third party and so it matters to have people who you can trust to do the job. Leading Resolutions not only helped us find the right supplier, but one with which we are now looking to have an extended relationship.
