Data Centre Strategy Review


Christie’s, the world’s largest art business and fine arts auction house, needed to improve the resilience of their application infrastructure and data centres in London, New York and Hong Kong. Leading Resolutions was engaged to carry out an in-depth review of the data centre environment and develop a strategy for improvement.


Leading Resolutions’ review highlighted inadequacies in disaster recovery capability and multiple points of failure for power and cooling. There was no further capacity available in the data centres. Christie’s also faced physical and operational risk from its proximity to the US Embassy.

Leading Resolutions created a dashboard for monitoring power, cooling, rack space and resilience. We also recommended strategies to improve Christie’s disaster recovery capability along with a business case comparing the existing hosting strategy with a managed service solution provider.

All recommendations were fully costed and submitted complete with their risks andmitigation measures.
